Tips for using the product catalog
Here are some tips to help you get the most out of creating and using your catalog.
- Creating your initial catalog in the web browser is much faster than creating it on the GoDaddy Smart Terminal Duo. Using a mouse and keyboard to enter a product is a little bit faster than entering one using the GoDaddy Smart Terminal Duo touch screen. If you're just adding one or two products, the difference in time won’t be noticeable. When you are creating a catalog and adding your whole inventory, the extra time will add up quickly. The Commerce Hub (in your web browser) also has tools like the bulk upload, which you can use to upload multiple products at once.
- Only one catalog can be assigned to the GoDaddy Smart Terminal Duo at a time. Use categories to organize seasonal or different types of products when adding them to your product catalog.
- Apply taxes to each category. You can disable the tax on an item on the Order Details screen, right before processing the payment.
- Use only letters and numbers in the names of your product category names. Special characters will prevent you from editing/modifying the catalog in the future.
- Refresh the Register app after you've updated the catalog to update the catalog on the GoDaddy Smart Terminal Duo. From the GoDaddy Smart Terminal Duo home screen, open the Register app and tap

Settings > Refresh Register.
Note: This option is NOT available if taxes are not enabled on the catalog/category level.
